An Open-Field Anniversary Session – Josh + Liz Celebrate Three Years of Marriage
Did you catch these two on the blog over Christmas with the cutest holiday portrait session you ever did see?!
Josh and Liz just celebrated their three year anniversary, and they wanted to capture this season in their lives. Josh is my business insurance agent, and it was such an honor to have him and Liz ask me to photograph them this year, knowing they are connected to so many other photographers! Liz is also a dear friend I got to grow close to at a bible study we attended together a few years ago, and it was so nice to catch up during our time together.
Since their wedding anniversary falls in October, it was fitting to do some holiday portraits for their Christmas cards, so we did two sessions in one afternoon! We started out at Mission San Juan Capistrano for some neutral stonework and architecture to make the perfect backdrop with their splash of holiday reds and deep greenery, but we had saved the sunset for this stunning scenery at Riley Wilderness Park in the oh-so-pretty Coto De Caza of Orange County, and they dressed themselves in timeless neutrals.
My heart skips a beat every time I get to visit captivating open meadows and fields like this one to capture the sunset!
Look at that sweet laugh! Liz is the kind of person that lights up the room with her smile, and this image perfectly depicts that side of her warm personality.
I love the significance of this image of their rings below. The number three carries so much meaning. Three rings, three years of marriage, a cord of three strands, and the trinity they mutually believe in that ties their hearts together and pushes them to love each other through the good times and the hard times.
This was such a sweet day! I’m so thankful for these two. The times I get to spend with them are always so meaningful, and they are such lights in this world. Their love is a sweet example to those around them.
Happy three years to you, Josh and Liz!
